CR were awarded this work and following abrasive blasting, the tank internal was completely lined using Carboline high build epoxy, and the exterior completed with an epoxy system.
Following the successful conclusion of this initial project we were asked to carry out remedial painting and construction touch up work on an overland conveyor that was being constructed.
This work included sections that were located up to 3km underground. Working underground required further intensive training for all painters on site. This training was in addition to Working at Heights, EWP operation, and Vehicle Operation training which are all mandatory requirements for the work we were conducting.
Up to 13 painters worked on this project under the control of our site supervisor, Rodney Curtis, and Project Manager, Graham Tapp.
