Contract Resources is continuing to grow their Australasian business; we are looking for an Industrial Services Manager to manage one of our newly created areas within New Zealand. The main responsibility of this role is to effectively lead all general management aspects of the CR NZ Business within the Region. This will initially be a fixed term role for up to one year or internal secondment by agreement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must have technical knowledge in this industry
- Manage procedures and health & safety management systems
- Support/ enhance an operational structure & system that recognises CR’s People Value
- Identify programmes to develop and enhance Supervisor/ Senior Operator capabilities
- Identify Customer (internal & external) needs and implement activities to meet those needs/requirements
- Assist Region Manager NZ to prepare operational content of Strategic Business Plan.
- Collaboratively work with customer facing staff to develop relevant operational improvement plans
- Maintain low cost culture through asking for what we need, and doing the best with what we have
- Implement systems for operational/project planning & management
- Proactively develop and implement strategies that present CR (internally & externally) as a Company of choice for Industrial Services
- Achieve key financial operating results
- Achieve continued productivity improvements and cost reductions
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Sound experience in a similar role coupled with business and financial acumen
- Demonstrable Project Management and Planning abilities in an environment in constant flux
- Ability to lead diverse teams
- Demonstrate effective decision making capabilities in a dynamic and changing environment
- Robust and resilient individual capable of being efficient and calm during times of pressure
- Knowledge of Microsoft office, in particular MS Word and Excel, MS Project would be an advantage but not essential
- Great communication skills both oral and written and able to communicate effectively
