Contract Resources operate an ongoing Management Trainee Programme that seeks to introduce people to the organisation from the ground up, and develop their potential for future management roles.

We are looking for recent graduates or people with up to 3 years work experience who are willing to work and travel between New Zealand and Australia.
Over the course of two years, selected participants will be trained extensively in health and safety, project management, human resources, quality and engineering, finance and budgeting, commercial tendering, operations, field work, and professional development. Mentors are assigned and have regular contact with the trainees.
Due to the ‘hands on’ nature of the programme and the industries Contract Resources works in, backgrounds in engineering, commerce, construction, trades, and agriculture are preferred; but anyone capable of demonstrating a practical background is urged to apply.
Accommodation and transport arrangements are made on a case-by-case basis, and trainees can expect to be in locations between 3 and 6 months during the programme.
After completing the programme, trainees will have the opportunity to specialise and be placed in various locations in our global operations throughout New Zealand, Australia, The Middle East, USA, and South America.
